Our Langkawi Island in 40 Photos

[dropcap]E[/dropcap]leven weeks or nearly 3 months. Such a long period of time we have currently spent on Langkawi island doing volunteer work. And for us this is the longest period of time we have ever spent in one place outside Latvia. So it’s not a surprise, that here we feel like at home, where everything is so familiar. Where they greet you at the grocery store, in cafe they ask if you will order the same as usually, and they greet you on the street.

All this time we have lived in a country house, which has been like our private house. But the same as much of our time was spent at the yacht club and on yachts, working or relaxing there.

Langkawi is not a big island. And we have traveled it criss-cross on our scooters. Using both main roads and also small and narrow country roads, which go more deeply into the island and to every single house.
